Shine with Lustre

Hi Lushies,

As you my UK and French readers might have noticed, a few weeks ago, we've had beautiful weather, which is sadly gone now. However, I had time to make the best of it! And for me this also means being beautiful and summery when going out (day and night)!

Here is what I believe is a great companion during the sunny days: Lustre!

Lustre is a Jasmine, ylang ylang scented yelow powder. It smells gorgeous, makes me want to sniff my skin all day long! But that is not the only gorgeous thing with Lustre. There is very fine glitter in the powder! When you put it on, your skin looks slightly tanned and glittery. The glitter is very discreet, it really only shine under the sun's light or white light, which is why I believe it is perfect for sunny days!

This powder will leave you feeling fresh and smelling gorgeous! Just put a bit of powder on your skin (I usually apply it on my arms and cleavage!), rub so as to have powder everywhere, and now, you're ready to go.

Price wise, it seems to be a little bit expensive, however you do not use that much, and it will take you a long time to finish your bottle. This is why I think that overall it is not very expensive!

Give it a try next time the sun comes out and you can show a bit of skin!

Byebye lushies!

Oily hair be gone!

Hi lushies,

Sorry I have been quite busy and then I was on busy holidays, so I haven't written here for a while! But here is a new post especially meant for those of you who have oily hair!

I have now been using beautifully fruity I love Juicy shampoo, combined with great conditioner Veganese! And here is the result on my hair: At first, yes my hair were clean, not getting oily the day after I washed them! And that for me was wonderful!

A month later, the results are even more brilliant than I could have imagined! For the past 3 weeks, I haven't even seen the shadow of an oily hair! My hair stay beautiful, soft, clean for well over 2 days! I can go 3 days without washing my head and I would be the only one knowing beacause it would be barely noticeable!

I do believe though that sometimes, it is good to alternate with a different shampoo! So once in a while, instead of using I love Juicy, I clean my hair with Squeeky Green solid shampoo, which is great too!

So here you go lushies, that was my perfect combination to get rid of oily hair!

Until next time, enjoy your lush goodies!

Catastrophe Cosmetic is a mask for all skin types, made of Talc, Calamine both to deeply cleanse your skin, blueberries to kill all the little bacterias hiding in your pores, rose and chamomile will reduce both irritation and redness, and Irish moss gel and almond oil will leave your skin soft and moisturized!

Catastrophe cosmetic applied on my chest!
But concretely, what does it do? Well, you know those day where you really hate your skin because of all the red spots? Well now you have catastrophe cosmetic to help you! It will truly make your spots appear less red, they will hurt less too, and you will have a lovely, beautiful and soft skin after using it!

Do feel free to use it not only on your face! I found it was really effective on my face but mostly on my chest! I have red spots on my cleavage which would just never go away! So I used catastrophe cosmetic on it (Thanks Stacey for the tip!) and now they are much less red than they used to! :) So this summer I know I will have a beautiful cleavage to show :)

Lush preston's facebook fan's party!!!

Hello Lushies!

Wednesday night was party night in Lush! It was a wonderful evening!!!!!

What did we do? many things! We had the chance to make our very own facemask with fresh ingredients! If you had booked a slot, you could also be treated to a wonderful facial! Nibbles were available :)! And we had the shop to ourselves with explanation on the different products! It was really nice!

So I got to do my very own face mask, and here is what I put in there: Honey as an antibacterial, lavender oil for the smell, aloe gel to soothe, kiwi to make my skin glow and look younger, oat for a soft exfoliation, ginger and linseed. The funny thing about linseed is that when you poor boiling water on it, it maker a really soft and light sort of oil, but its not oil!

But enough with words, here are a few pictures! (If people on the pictures want me to remove it, please feel free to ask so! )

Fiona, the Lush Preston Manager makes the lovely facemasks with us :)

Nibbles and drinks for us! The cookies were rally nice ;)

I had a lovely cup of tea in this lovely cup!

Clipper's tea workshop!

Hello lushies!

Today, I want to tell you about a lovely time I had in Lush on Tuesday!

All the UK lushies probably know about the Clipper's tea promotion! For those who don't know about it, here is what it's all about: Clipper, a brand of fair trade tea, has offered their client the possibility to go for a 1h30 workshop in Lush. To be one of the lucky person taking part in your personal workshop, you need to find a green tea or green tea and lemon clepper's tea box with a little pink coupon! And after looking for one for a few weeks, I finally found it!! YES!!!! ;)

So after booking on the Lush UK page (entering the 4 numbers and 4 letters found under the pack), I was off to Lush on Tuesday! And I had 1h30 of pure happiness! When you get there, you are offered a cup of tea in a beautiful clipper cup.

And then, you start either cooking or experimenting in a lab, just as you want to see it! More simply: you start making your catastrophe cosmetic facemask! And it is so much fun! You have to squash the blueberry (it hurts your fingers a bit). Blueberries are really good to deeply clean your pores, bring the oxygen in there that will kill the litttle bacterias that cause those horrible red spots.

We then mixed the blueberries with other ingredients like talc, calamine, glycerine, almond oil, etc. It was great fun, except for the fact that calamine powder ended up in my tea :( In the end, it did not look as blue as the ones in the shop, but it seemed like it was because we did not squash the blueberries' skin enough!

And then, you get a lovely facial :) Mine was done by lovely Stacey from Lush Preston! It is just heaven, a nice massage, using lush products like 9 to 5, full of grace, a toner tab, and of course, you get to try your hand made catastrophe cosmetic mask!! :) It was just a wonderful moment! And then I was off to step class, and the wonderful smell of products used on my face during the facial kept surrounding me, it was great!

One last thing, if you go, do not put on your best clothes. Why? Because you will most certainly end up with talc, calamine or blueberry juice on you!

After this long post, I think its time for me to say good bye lushies!

Enjoying a ME time

Good evening Lushies

Tonight is only a very quick post!

If you like to pamper yourself and spend 15minutes just for you, then here is a good way of improving that time!

For me, its of course all about Lush, so my evening routine lately includesultrabland for a nice cleansing, followed by Eau roma to remove all the excess of ultra bland, then scrub my lips with sweet lips, and the finishing touch for the face: imperialis!

Then I move on to all my dry bits: elbows, heels and anckles are all treated with lemony flutter! ^^

And last but not least, I moisturize my legs with either imperialis or hottie massage bar!

And now, the nice little and healthy touch to it: Clipper's green and lemon tea! A nice warm cuppa to cleanse your body from the inside just as you have cleansed it outside with all your gorgeous lush products! Added extra: some say it help fight cancer! And it tastes really nice too!

That was my little evening post, now I am off to my little Me lush time!

Good night lushies!

No drought

Hi Lushies,

Not long ago, I've discovered a new concept: the dry shampoo! (Thanks Lush)

I am French, and we don't really have this "dry shampoo" there, so when I first read about it in the lush times, I was really curious to know more about it. For those unfamiliar with the concept: a dry shampoo will make your hair look and smell fresh! It is good when you are in a hurry, or a big event where you can't wash you hair!

But as I was kindly reminded, it is NOT A PROPER WASH, neither does it replace it! So Lushies, even if after reading this article you plan on using, or you are already using it, remember this: you need to wash your hair with a proper shampoo regularly!

Anyway, due to popular demand, even though Lush wasn't really a fan of dry shampoos, they gave in and gave us: No Drought.

As it is the first dry shampoo I tried, I can't compare it with any other. But I have adopted it!

The first reason why I love it: the smell: citrusy and fresh, like a lemon cheesecake, or a candy! And the smell will follow you all day long!!!

Then, as some of you may know, I have very oily hair (although it is getting a lot better ever since I started to use only Lush products on my hair!)! And I guess most of you have heard the rumor saying it is not really good for your hair to wash them everyday. So, whether you believe that, or don't have time to wash your hair in the morning, you can use No drought!
I use it the day after I washed my hair when they look oily, and the result is immediate! My hair don't look oily at all anymore!

It is in the former of a powder that you apply on your hair and then you brush it out! To put it on your hair, 3 options: put some in your hands, rub your hands together a bit and then put on your hair! You can also put the powder on your hairbrush and brush your hair with it! But my favourite way of using it is to apply it with a big brush (the same you use to apply your blush), put some powder on it and then apply on the oily places of you hair (ideal if only your roots are oily!)!

Well that was a long article, I should probably stop now, and if you have any question, feel free to ask!

See you next time lushies!
