It's raining men and snow fairies

Hello Lush fans,

First of all, I could not stop myself from going back in Lush today! Had a bit of money to spare, and so I got "rub rub rub" which I got to try on my hand, in the Lush Preston shop, and I loved it, it smells gorgeous! I will tell you more about it when I shower with it!

Speaking of shower, there are 2 shower gels I want to speak about, they are the ones I've tried already, and loved too!


It's raining Men

Love honey? Well this one is for you! You know the smell when you open a bottle or a pot full of honey? Imagine jumping into it. That is how "it's raining men" smells! I love it! It's like taking a honey shower, except it's soft and nice, not sticky!
When you get out of the shower, the smell will last on your skin and in the bathroom! It's great!

Snow Fairy

This is a Christmas Special shower gel, but I think it deserves to be written about!
This is a thick, pink shower and hair gel, and for girlies, it is full of glitter! But the best thing is the smell, it smells of lovely fluffy cotton candy! It's really like showering in a candy shop! And this gorgeous smell will follow you all day. So be warned, you might be found sniffing your arms from time to time because the smell is so gorgeous!
My only regret: it is only sold at Xmas time, but isn't it what makes it special?

Rub Rub Rub with sea salt

Hello Lush fans,

Today I want to talk about a product I have just tried: Rub Rub Rub

I bought it yesterday, tried it in the shop (thank you lush preston staff), and loved it almost immediately!


What is it?
Rub Rub Rub is a body scrub, packed with sea salt. You can scrub your whole body, either gently under the shower, or a bit rough if you scrub it on your body before you shower. Makes for a great scrub for your face too! It is said you can use it for your hair, but I have yet to try that!

Why is it great?

So many reasons why!
1- It leaves your skin soft and smelling of beautiful jasmin (I found it was the strongest smell), with hints of mimosa and orange flower.
2- The colour is great, I love this blue!
3- I love salt as an exfoliant (love ocean salt). And in rub rub rub it is really thin so it is really a nice feeling, great for your face, your body and your feet!
4- The smell is absolutely gorgeous! Jasmin mostly, and it stays in the bathroom and on your skin for a really long time!
5- I love it, when you remove it, it feels really silky and soft, its a wonderful feeling!

The best thing
I tried it as a shampoo ! I have very oily hair, I would have to wash them every day to keep them really clean (which I don't 'cause it's not so good for my hair!)! With rub rub rub, it made my hair look great and clean, and even the next day did they look clean! And it leaves a gorgeous smell of Jasmine! It's GREAT!

So there you have it, a wonderful body scrub to use as much as you want!

Love lettuce

Hi lush fans!

Don't be scared by the weird looking girl on the picture, that's me, trying for you the love lettuce fresh mask (which is about to become my all time favorite fresh mask eventhough I only tried this one and oatimix!).

So what is Love lettuce made of??
It is a fresh mask made of Agar agar, Almond oil, ground almond shells and almonds, Kaolin, Honey and Lavender (the list is not full).

How to use it?
Put it on your face, avoid your mouth and eyes. Let it rest for about 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water! When you put it on and then rinse it, you can massage you skin, and the ground almond will work as an exfoliant!

How does it feel?
When you put it on, it feels really fresh (especially when you store it in the fridge, wich is best!). Then I really like the soft ground almonds' massage. And when I remove it, my skin feels soooooo soft and frexh and clean! What I love especially is that I have a VERY dry spot on one of my cheeks, and when I use this mask, I can feel that the dry patch isn't as dry, it feels really soft, and I can barely feel where it is!
And the smell! It is sooooo great, I love the lavender smell which is quite overpowering (but in a good way, I think), and then you have hints of floral scents! I looove it!
If you have a mixed skin like me, it is an ideal mask since it has lavender oil, and lavender is great for balancing your skin!

So here you have it, a great fresh mask for a perfect skin! Enjoy you "me time"!

For perfect lips

Hello Lush fans,

I am now going to give you the recipe to perfect lips! I thought the timing was good since it's winter (and we have to take extra care of our lips at this time of the year) and also because Valentine's day is coming and you will probably want to have nice, smooth lips to kiss your loved one!

Here are 2 products I have tried, which I really like.

Lip scrub: Sweet lips.
Ever dreamed of eatable cosmetics? Well lush has done it for us! Those lip scrubs are great to remove dead skin from your lips and they taste great. Or at least Sweet lips does! All of them are made with castor sugar and organic jojoba oil to exfoliate and moisturze your lips. And it works, after I tried Sweet Lips my lips were softer and felt nice.
The best part is when you use it. You don't need a lot, just a little bit on you finger tip, I advise that you wet your lips a bit before you apply the scrub for a softer scrub, then massage your lips gently, and here comes the best part, once done, lick it off your lips! the end result is soft lips ready for the second step of perfect lips.

Lip balm: Honey trap
I've had this one for over a year and I love to use it when I'm not using lipstick!
So now you have soft lips thanks to your scrub, so you can apply, lipstick, leave your lips naked or if your lips are dry and its cold outside and you wan to protect them, you can apply some lip balm.
I use Honey trap for 2 reasons:
1- it smells of lovely and sweet honey and white chocolate
2- And I loooove the peppermint oil, it makes your lips feel really fresh, it is a lovely feeling!
And good news: it is great for dry, chapped lips as it moisturizes them perfectly!

That's it, now you have perfect lips!! And it takes less than 5 minutes!

Black pots scheme and other info!

Hello lush fans!

Today, I Just went to visit my favorite store in town: lush! Visiting the store reminded me of why it is my favorite shop! Yes the products are great, but not only! The staff in every shop is so welcoming, and nice! I went to quite a lot of lush shops in the world ( France, India, Hong Kong, the UK) and always the staff was great!

Today I learned many things, some that I want to share with you now because it is so great!

First of all, lush fans, get ready for the for the Valentine's products! New and old products are coming back! Thanks to the lush Preston staff, I had a quick overview of what's to come, and it smells beautiful, looks great! Leap frog is back, as well as magic mushroom, a special massage bar called love potion and  the sweetheart soap all in store on the 21st of January!

Then, did you know lush has lovely knot-wraps? From the Japanese furoshiki, you can wrap your lovely lush products in it, or use it as a scarf! Makes for a great wrap for a gift! Here also is two great things about those wraps:
1- the cotton ones are made from cotton produced in India by divorced and widowed women. These women are considered as outcasts in India, so lush employs them so they can earn a living! Great, isn't it?
2- some of those wraps are made out of 2 recycled 500ml plastic bottles! Yes it's true! And for having touched the material myself, it does not feel like plastic at all! And they have a great spring design in store now!

One last great thing in lush is there black pots scheme! What is it? Basically, when you have 5 empty and clean black pots, you can bring them back to your closest lush shop and you will get a free fresh mask! I have waited over 3 years saving my black pots and today I finally did it, got a free love lettuce fresh mask( I will tell you more about it when I try it!)

Ocean Salt

So I finally found the time to write on this blog.

Today, I want to introduce the first Lush product I tried, the product that made me love Lush, and it's called Ocean Salt.

What is Ocean Salt you might ask? Well it's the most brilliant cleanser, especially if, like me, you have an oily skin! It smells of lime and salt, which is very refreshing, and the fine sea salt scrubs your skin, although I would advise to scrub gently, and not push too hard!

How do you use it? Just wet your face, and then scrub with ocean salt, you can then rinse it, or what I do is rinse my hands and scrub again, repeat this once more and then rinse!

It will leave your skin soft, moisturized and feeling refresehed!

This is one of my favourite, especially in summer time, after a day's work, and you feel sweaty and dirty!

You can also use it on your whole body, but I personaly prefer to use it only on the face!

Welcome to my blog, where I want to present to you Lush, and some of its products!

Lush!

Lush is a company selling ethical cosmetic products, good for the environment, and for you. It sells all kinds of products, from Shampoos, to shower gel, as well as face masks, perfumes, creams and there very popular bath ballistics.

Their Values:

Ethicals values: No animal testing by either lush or their suppliers, reducing and recycling packaging as well as other actions to reduce the impact on the environment, getting involved in community projects to benefit the local people.

Lush gets involved to support causes that they hold dear in different domains such as Human rights (Free west papua, Freedom for Palestine...), Animal protection (Animal Aid, Save Sharks Around the World...) and environment (Packaging is rubbish...).

As far as the product's composition is concerned, they do all they can to have the best ingredients as natural as possible and safe synthetics.
However, as I may have heard sometimes,they do not use bio products, but they have vegan products so you can all find something that will make you happy!
